Organisation

We wanted to create a transverse structure around the patient in whom are closely dependent:

  • Our research activity: "Genetics of autoinflammatory diseases and chronic osteo-arthritis. We are a group of U844 (INSERM, Prof. Jorgensen).
  • Our clinical activity: The medical unit of auto-inflammatory diseases UMAI coordinates the national network for molecular genetic diagnosis and the international quality control. The laboratory is designated for the molecular diagnosis and as a national reference centre (http://asso.orpha.net/CEREMAI/)

Activities (also...)

Our research and development projects are turned around two large priority axis:

  1. Physiopathology of auto-inflammatory diseases
The objective of our research projects is to elucidate the function of genes responsible for these diseases in the inflammatory process and to relate this function to the physiopathology of the disease.
These projects have an interest not only in fundamental research topics, but also in biomedical term: the identification of the pathways implicated in these diseases and of the benefit of the various treatments in these processes will enable us to consider new therapeutic targets of the disease for the patients who do not or little response to treatment.
  2. Development and transfer of new approaches for diagnosis and evaluation of prognosis
Connections between the auto-inflammatory diseases from clinical but also genetic being increasingly narrow, it appears essential to us to improve the screening of sequence variants, but also to explore new ways in order to improve the diagnosis, the treatment and the prognostic of these diseases.
